Spring Flings at Spearly 2011

As we celebrate the return of sunny days and bluer skies, we are reminded that life is about being alive in all seasons. Spring is about being given the chance to start anew and a time for growth. It is the perfect time to renew our commitment to staying active and believing in ourselves, that we can overcome anything we set our mind to. Keeping our minds active is one way to do that, and Spearly's residents truly enjoy our activities that promote healthy aging. We have had several exciting events throughout this Spring, each one inspiring our residents get their minds active and healthy! Our residents truly love our daily brain-building activities, from playing board games such as Monopoly, word extraction, banana grams, Wii Tennis and most famously, Wii Family Feud. And as the warmer weather fills our beautiful Colorado air, there has been plenty of fun outside as well....from planting daffodils and daisies to walking the hillside for that fresh air and sunshine....and as always, hanging out on our private patio.

Spearly has also celebrated Spring with a few notable holidays. There were memorable times egg-painting around our Spring Celebration Dinner with the residents and staff, as well as our Mother's Day Tea banquet, where raffle prizes were given to the residents. This event was quite a hit -  the mother's received rose pins and gifts, and the room was filled with laughter and cheer!
