Hero of the Month-Farrell Hollingsworth

Hero of the month is presented by one of our residents who asked us not to share her photo. This is what she presented to him on a plaque. Farrell has been a dedicated and loyal Spearly associate for over 2 years! He is conscientious and treats all people with dignity and respect. As an integral team member, Farrell takes initiative to provide assistance in any way needed. He consistently demonstrates a pleasant demeanor and remains calm in all situations. Residents and staff enjoy Farrell and appreciate his sincerity and professionalism. Staff and residents are proud to have him as part of the Spearly Team and Farrell received the "highest of recommendation" to be awarded this honor by a Spearly resident. After the resident read this to Farrell many of us cried during this very special moment.

Voting for President at Spearly

Long lines with many of our residents voting for President.

Our residents were nurturing their spirit by coming out and voting for our next President of the United States. Many proud faces lined up in the hallway waiting for there opportunity to vote and make a
difference in our country.

One resident said "I can't do a lot for myself currently but it sure feels good to vote for our next President of the United States this is one thing I can still do."

No Shave November at Spearly

No Shave November at Spearly to raise awareness for cancer.

Our mission at Juniper Village at the Spearly Center is to nurture the spirit of life in each individual we touch. One of the ways we do this
is to raise awareness of cancer in our home. This helps support our residents, friends, family and employees who suffer each day from living with cancer.

This is a journey we live together and help support each other, It's the journey of being a family. It helps bring more life into the home because we care for each other. Thank you Spearly for caring for each other and cherish the journey.

Spearly Shows its Colors with the "Alive with Colors Carnival"

A Beautiful Day in Denver, Colorado

One of our greatest events here at Spearly is our "Alive with Colors Carnival." Residents nurture the spirit of life by enjoying such games as poker,
ring toss, frisbee golf, and face painting. These activities were attended by most residents here at Spearly, along with family members and community guests. One resident expressed," I sure love getting my face painted. I feel so special."

What would a carnival be without fabulous carnival food? The tasty nachos with extra cheese and jalapenos, caramel apples with dripping hot caramel, tasty fresh fruit, and don't forget those tasty smoothies. Yum!!! The day was a huge success.

Cherish The Journey at Veterans Day Celebration at Spearly

Have you ever sat on a rock and thought about your past? We had a very special day with our Veterans at Spearly. They shared the day with
memories of the past, when they served their country in the Marines, Army, Navy, Air Force, Coast Guard. One of our residents showed us
his photo when he served with his dog. He was so proud!

Taking the time and listening to our families can teach us so much. What away to learn about history without reading a book. The emotions
that they bring with telling the stories is so overwhelming. We are so proud to have so many heroes be apart of our Spearly Family.

2nd Annual Spearly Tailgate Party

ROCK YOUR COLORS AT SPEARLY!

This is an event that not only do our residents and staff look forward to but our own Denver Community. The Bronco Cheerleaders join us for a
couple hours of tailgating fun. We grill hotdogs and add several toppings such as ketchup, mustard, relish and onions. Then on the side we experience Spearly's famous nachos with dripping nacho cheese and jalapenos. We also enjoyed ice cold soda pop in the famous tailgating coolres. The Bronco Cheerleaders take photo with everyone who wants one and then gives out autographed 2012 posters. Wow what a hit! This event is talked about for weeks and the question is always when is the next one?

Nurture your spirit of life next year at Juniper Village at The Spearly Center.
